South End Boston Real Estate

Overview: The South End is Boston’s largest, and one of its most diverse neighborhoods. This area is home to many of the city’s most popular bars and restaurants, as well as several great art galleries.

Culture: The South End culture is derived from its diverse population. It offers an excellent collection of restaurants, especially along Tremont Street, which is one of the most popular areas for both residents and visitors. The Boston Center for the Arts is also located in the South End.

Location: Located roughly between Massachusetts Avenue and Berkeley Street, the South End is easily accessible from I-93 and the Mass. Pike (Rt. 90).

Transportation: Although there is not an MBTA station in the South End, there are several stations in neighboring areas that are within walking distance, including the Green Line’s Copley and Prudential stations. There is also public bus service offered throughout the area, with MBTA bus line 43 stopping along Tremont Street.

Colleges & Universities: Boston University School of Medicine. (Northeastern University lies partially in the South End, although most of the campus is just over the border in the Fenway neighborhood.)
